Selecting the right fabric can be critical to creating your desired outcome. This page is to help you make the selection that will best meet the needs for your project.

Qualify the Application

• commercial or residential?
• multi-purpose or dedicated function rooms?
• daytime, nightime, or all-hours use?
• what type of activities will occur in space?
• will an aesthetic match be important inside or outside the building?
• lattitude of project and orientation of windows?
• additional issues?

Prioritize needs
Based on the application, determine priorities including:

• control glare inside (reduce reflections on TV's, computer monitors, etc.)
• provide visual comfort for occupants
• maintain view through windows
• protect interiors from fading
• reduce build up of heat inside
• optimize energy efficiency
• achieve a particular aesthetic (inside or outside)
• reduce environmental impact
• create darkened room
• ensure privacy

If space is multi-purpose, or multiple priorities are equally important, consider a dual-mount application (two fabric rolls mounted on the same window).
